More Ramadan Delights
Well, yesterday I pigged out again. I had the same chicken rice lunch at the same place I went to on Tuesday. Then I went down to the local Ramadan bazaar to buy 'mee goreng' (fried noodles).

It's fried with chilli, so it's spicy, and it has prawns, fish cakes, topped with some scrambled egg and parsley and a small lime to squeeze over. The meal cost me SGD2.00 (USD1.18).
For dessert, I had 'putu piring' ('putu' is from Tamil but I'm not sure what it means. Maybe it means cake? 'Piring' means plate/saucer in Malay).

It's a local 'kuih' (cake) made out of rice flour and filled with 'gula melaka' (palm sugar). It's then steamed on a small metal plate and when done, served with dessicated coconut. This packet of three cost me SGD1.00 (USD0.59).
