Chicken with Mustard and Spring Onion Sauce
I cooked this for dinner last night and had it with some rice. It was yummy! *drool*
2 chicken breast fillets, cut into smaller pieces
Some Dijon mustard to coat chicken
About 2 tablespoons cooking oil
1 sprig spring onion, chopped
1 tablespoon plain flour
Some water
Some dried thyme
1 garlic clove, crushed
- Put the chicken in a dish and put enough mustard in to coat all the pieces.
- Heat frying pan, put oil in. When hot, put in the garlic and fry for awhile.
- Next put in the chicken pieces and fry until golden brown. Then remove from heat and put aside.
- Put in the spring onions and fry for about a minute. Then put in the flour and stir.
- Next, pour in some of the water... just enough to make a sauce. Add in the thyme. Stir until the sauce is thick.
- Put the chicken back in and cook in the sauce until tender or properly cooked.
* If you don't eat chicken, you can replace it with salmon. Works too.
