From the Eye of Hurricane Frances 10

FROM THE EYE OF HURRICANE FRANCES

Still Saturday (September 4, 2004)

9:39 pm: Eyewall

Well the power has been off more than on now. We've decided to leave our candles lit even when the power comes back on, because we believe it will go off soon again anyway.

We're playing poker (I'm losing tonight - wahhh!), but we're now in the eye wall of the hurricane.

My husband and friend have just gone back out to the balcony and have found that windspeed has significantly picked up. Just opening the balcony door is a different experience.

We think that the wind direction has changed. I'm going to sign off now, as we may go offline again any minute. We have lightning now, as well as tornado warnings, but boy - it's all happening now!
