Singapore Fireworks Festival

Last Sunday marked the first ever Singapore Fireworks Festival to be held. Choosing a vantage point to shoot the event was tough because most of the popular spots such as the waterfront bits by Fullerton, Collyer Quay and Marina were already booked by enthusiasts armed with their camera and tripods. So I ended up trudging through the mud to set up in the grassy field across the bay.

When the whole pyrotechnic spectacular ended, the heavens opened and it poured. So not only did I have to trudge through the mud again, but I had to do it with rain and lightning plus with the added danger of whizzing cars and lorries in the field all trying to get out onto the highway. Any other ideas of where to go to shoot the next fireworks show this coming Sunday?
