Image Hot Linking

As I embark further into webmastering, I discover the evils of image hot linking. Now, it's nothing to do with porn but rather it's about people directly linking (we're talking about the use of the img tags here) to images on your server and in the course of doing so, stealing your bandwidth (which you may end up paying for if you exceed your quota). Again, this can be prevented with a .htaccess file as the one shown here.
